Our plastic injection moulding machines consist of a hopper that mixes colour and feeds the raw materials directly into the machine where a heating element melts the plastic. The plastic then enters an injection unit that injects the melted plastic into the mould where the part is formed.
Moulding machines are rated by tonnage, which is the amount of clamping force needed to hold the two halves of the mould closed. The tonnage needed is determined by the size of the part and the type of material being used. Larger parts require more pressure to hold the mould together.
